Founded in 2017 by Preethi Guruswamy, the Lean In Women in Technology, India (WiTI) chapter is a diverse community committed to empowering women in technology to explore and achieve endless possibilities. Preethi has been a part of LeanIn.org's initiatives since 2015 and is a Regional Leader of Lean In for the past two years. She has worked in the Software technology industry for the last 17 years and has led various Lean In regional initiatives in addition to co-founding the User Experience community in Bangalore. Preethi has created a niche for women and leaders who are enthusiastic to step up and make a difference in technology, business and society. 

Lean In WiTI was recognized by LeanIn.Org as a Regional Leader in 2018 and is an official network of LeanIn.Org. Lean In WiTI focuses on the technology sector and supports women in technology with various backgrounds - from the classroom to the boardroom, who will make a significant impact in technology. We do this by educating women about the opportunities in technology as well as provide a forum to help women overcome unique challenges in their professional lives. We believe these circles will provide support to each other to Lean In both professionally and personally. Our strength comes from members such as yourselves, as well as institutional and global sponsors and mentors.
